Homemade Masks for Soft and Shiny Hair

All homemade hair masks nourish the scalp and hair roots. Making a homemade hair mask is not only very cheap but also very easy – all you need are a few basic kitchen ingredients. To get bouncy and lustrous hair, feed and nourish your scalp and hair with powerful nutrients provided by Mother Nature.

Coconut milk – An excellent conditioner, making hair feel soft and lustrous.

1. Coconut Milk and Honey Mask.

This simple hair treatment requires only ½ cup coconut milk and 3 tbsp. honey. Mix together and rinse through hair from root to tips.

After 15 minutes rinse with lukewarm water, then shampoo hair. Your locks will feel soft and look shiny.

2. Avocados and Mayo Mask

This method acts as a deep conditioner and takes a few minutes to make.

Slice avocado, remove pit and scoop out avocado and transfer to a mixing bowl. Add 3 tbsp. mayonnaise, and then apply to hair.

Put on a shower cap or wrap hair in a warm damp towel for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then shampoo and condition hair.

3. Bananas and Almond oil Mask

Slice up a banana and in a bowl add 2 tbsp. almond oil. Comb mixture through hair and massage the ends of your hair with your finger tips.

Let’s it sit for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.

4. Egg Yolk and Lemon hair mask

Fix your split ends and literally feed your hair with this protein rich hair mask.

Crack an egg in a bowl and mix in 2 tbsp. olive oil and 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice.

Combine mixture onto hair and let sit for 15-20 minutes.

Make sure to rinse hair with cool water.
